Innocence To Independence

Judith Hollinshed spent 20 years in the highlands of Papua New Guinea. Working side by side with her husband, she helped establish a coffee plantation, gave birth to two children and lived without any of the amenities to which she was accustomed. This memoir charts her chance arrival in the highlands, the trials and joys of building a household and a way of life, the people she came to know, and her observations of the beautiful yet cruel landscape she inhabited.
